-Dame Cicely Saunders

Through our healthcare careers, none of our journeys have been the same but we all feel that Hospice is our calling.  Most of our staff had the majority of their experience in end of life care and assisting patients and families through difficult times.  Let us help guide you through and understand the hard decisions we may be facing towards the end of life.

Rachel Rogers

Rachel Rogers

Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement & Certified Death Doula

Spending many years in Children’s Hospitals as my daughter was confronted with cancer followed by other maladies, I learned that caring for the body, mind and soul made the world a little brighter during a dark time. Since those days, I have traveled and been a guest in many places in different cultures. There I learned my perspective is only my own, and others have their own path, their own questions, and their own convictions. I have both a heart and a calling to show patients the kindness, compassion, and love that has been shown to me. Through my personal experiences, and my heart’s calling, I began serving as a Hospice Chaplain in 2019. Since beginning, I listen, learn, and partner with patients and their families to meet their spiritual needs, whether that is navigating unanswered questions, connecting them with others in their faith, or reaffirming a sure faith in prayer, song, and counsel. I believe, with all that I am, that I was made for this role, and am ready to help with the biggest crises, or the tiniest of needs.

Metta McNeese

Hospice Executive Director, ACHC Certified Consultant & Certified Death Doula

I have been a registered nurse for more than 15 years. I worked in trauma/ICU, cardiac care units, and even a brief time in flight nursing. I gained my clinical nursing experience in some of the toughest hospitals America has to offer while working in New Orleans, Louisiana. I began my Hospice journey 7 years ago in Austin, Texas. My passion for Hospice is rooted in providing clinically excellent care at end of life for my community and growing the nurse leaders of tomorrow. I am a voracious reader and enjoy curling up with my 2 dogs Bis (Doberman) and Jax (Rat Terrier) to read a good book. I also enjoy learning new songs on the guitar.
