Rachel Rogers
Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement
Spending many years in Children’s Hospitals as my daughter was confronted with cancer followed by other maladies, I learned that caring for the body, mind and soul made the world a little brighter during a dark time. Since those days, I have traveled and been a guest in many places in different cultures. There I learned my perspective is only my own, and others have their own path, their own questions, and their own convictions. I have both a heart and a calling to show patients the kindness, compassion, and love that has been shown to me. Through my personal experiences, and my heart’s calling, I began serving as a Hospice Chaplain in 2019. Since beginning, I listen, learn, and partner with patients and their families to meet their spiritual needs, whether that is navigating unanswered questions, connecting them with others in their faith, or reaffirming a sure faith in prayer, song, and counsel. I believe, with all that I am, that I was made for this role, and am ready to help with the biggest crises, or the tiniest of needs.
